Resources for Landowners—DUC’s Partners in Wetland and Wildlife Conservation
Landowners and farmers directly affect the land they work. Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) works very closely with Canada’s landowners to develop practices that benefit both them and the environment. Landowners are DUC’s partners on the landscape in wetland conservation.
To assist landowners, DUC has a number of online resources on the following topics:
- Good for my land. Good for my business.
At Ducks, our staff works with you to implement a number of sustainable agricultural and environmental practices that can help improve your bottom line. - Conservation easements are agreements between DUC and landowners to conserve their property's natural values and features.
- Winter wheat offers good financial returns for producers and improved habitat for wildlife.
- Dryland Forage Species Adaptation
Help determine what forage species would work best on your land, and find out what rate you should seed. This interactive tool developed by Sask Forage Council through Greencover Canada funding can provide you with the information you need for your particular situation.
